Here’s the ring on my hand, New Year’s eve.

This thing is heavy. It’s solid. It’s the biggest skull ring I own. And it’s the one with the pedigree; based on Keith’s ring, hand made by David Courts and Bill Hackett in 1978.

I love this ring. It’s absolutely stunning.

  1. Its a great looking ring. My 40th birthday this year and I think this might be my present to myself – have already started to work on the wife!!!!
    P.S.
    Good luck with op.

  2. Man, that is cool! I came onto this site when searching for skull rings and I got more out of your posts (showing your collection) than from anywhere else on the web. Since then, I’ve gotten two Ruby Crush jawless, a new Dave’s Custom (from his brother Steve Caruso and Dave’s revived company) and three from Richard at Full Moon Jewelry, as well as some less conventional Japanese rings. I’d like to send in some pics to the blog and join up, if this is something you allow. Thanks for showing your outstanding rings.

  3. Received my Courts and Hackett New Deaths Head skull ring

Mine came in today. I ordered it as soon as I noticed the web site made it publicly available on Feb 7. Received it on Mar 2. It cost me $471 based on the exchange rate on the day I ordered mine. Your mileage may vary. I have a collection of KR style rings and had to get one from the original creators of Keith’s ring. The shipping was swift at only 4 days from England. As the pictures show it is a very detailed shadow finished realistic design with a solid back. Mine weighs in at 46.5 grams for a size 12. Awesome ring to have.

  4. Got my ring today. It’s fab really like the shadow finish it brings out all
The detail. Only problem is it’s not my birthday until June and my wife
Won’t let me wear it til then. Torture!!!!!!! But at least she agreed to
Get it for my present now can’t wait for my 40th . My fav skull ring
    Worth every penny

  5. I have been trying to get hold of Dead Ringers to order. No response. Does anyone know there status? want to get a custom ring done. sent Mark an email through there site telling them tha I’m ready to buy, but no response.

  6. Great web site. I am looking for a skull ring and your site has alot of info and web sites to check out. I spent a couple hours on it. I would also recommend nightriderjewelery for some great thick silver skulls and crosses in Arizona (USA) very custom starting at $250.

  7. I received my Courts and Hackett ring and it was very nice but they sent me the wrong size ring.

It was their mistake but they had me ship it back to them at my expense and they billed me to ship the correct size ring to me.

Not very classy considering it was their mistake.

Cost me a lot of money for something that was their falt.

As I said, nice ring but I am not a happy camper with their service. Kind of SUCKS!

    Gweilo

  8. how do i get a price and where do i order from went on courtsandhackett but no info on ring thank you

  9. This ring is a beautiful thing, my personal copy of the ring has been my constant companion over the last 8 weeks.
The shadow finish has aged very well, it rubs away leaving areas of high shine and more areas of graduated shadow, it really is a work of art, as opposed to being just a “skull” ring, it is superbly detailed and finished, it is the type of thing that ultimately becomes a family heirloom….once again, well done Bill and David, and Karl I love your blog, it’s fun and multi faceted, keep up the great work…

  12. Hi there,

I just wanted to ask if there was any update to Jim’s question above?

I’m not quite at 30 days yet, but I placed an order 10 days ago now and haven’t heard anything. Does anyone know if they are still making the rings? I see that the website was updated last year with a notice re: increase in price, but it is 2012 now..

    Cheers.

    1. Alan-

Yeah absolutely they’re making rings, my buddy just bought one a couple months back; I’m not sure how long it took to get to him, but I think it was within a couple weeks.

They’re no amazon, but they’re still selling those wonderful rings.

  13. I have been absent for some time, but now I remember why I used to love this blog. Thank you, I’ll try and check back more frequently. How frequently you update your website?
