Shot at Monterey Bay Aquarium, saturday 1/1/2011, with my daughter’s Lumix FH20 on ‘film grain’ setting. No retouching done afterward.
This is an original steam boiler from the cannery era, similar to the one that would have driven the old Hovden Cannery that houses the original part of the aquarium.
I just can’t wait til my own camera ( Lumix dcm-g2 dSLR) arrives. I ordered it after xmas but with east coast storms, shipment was delayed several days.
While the hf20 is an amazing little camera, it just can’t do all the things I wanted it to.
Sigh. I have aquarium AND camera envy.
Great picture, KE. I’m stealing it for background usage 🙂
