Ok, so I need some help from a template designer who knows movable type 4.

I don’t need a lot, but I do need someone else to suffer the slings and arrows for me. Payment will be in sexual favors and good old yankee dollars.

I don’t intend to port my old template as is, but I want to keep some of it’s elements, so I’ve got a pretty clear idea of a starting point.

  1. Actually, I’m kind of liking the gun metal look over the old blog’s style. Looks grown up and sleek, in a lethal assassin kind of way. Which lately seems to fit you more in my mind than the pirate motif. And the color reminds me of well-maintained weaponry. And it’s also a bit easier on the eyes. I say go with it.

FYI, your new banner–which looks *amazing* in metal–isn’t working on the individual post pages.

I’m up for a switch when you figure some more of this stuff out. I’m bored with my current template, anyway.

  2. Damn, “remember personal info” isn’t working now, and it’s driving me nuts to have to keep filling it in each time.

Anyway, I was posting again to say this article mentions v4.1 will have theme packs (plus some secret ingredient add he knows about but won’t reveal) that may make the whole redesign easier. If you have the patience to hold off till then.

  3. Hey, look at that. I put my nose to the grindstone for a few days, step away from teh blogs, and everything changes.

I like the gunmetal much better. Black is so, you know, *black*. This color is cool.

I looked and nobody else asked, who the f is Karl Elvison? (I was hoping somebody else had asked first…….. 🙂 )

Best of luck. If you need somebody to look at the swatches, I’m happy to, but, you don’t want me to try to sew the drapes.

    hugs, E
