Why We Fight

I'm heading back to The World for the weekend, for my Class of '86 Reunion at Rice. Yeah, Houston. I know, I know. I'll be wearing full colors

Dad's new hoodie

so any Bushietown fuckmooks that want to give me shit, bring it, bitches. I'll show you how we play in the murder capital.

On a more positive and thoughtful and clearly better-written note, your assignment in my absence is to read and then re-read Mark's Ship of Fools entry over at Wet Bank Guide. He gets it more than anybody. Certainly more than I do.

You're just a bad ass. We need them too. ;)

And your wife is a badass rollergirl. We need her more. ;^(

I got a 30 day ban from an internet cigar board last week, because a Houstonian asked a guy from Slidell (since relocated) to see if he could get his parents to come to Houston and get all the riff raff out of there. I verbally let him have it, and got a time out.

Since that time, my avatar in the cigar board has become the very logo of the shirt you pictured. My response to the guy running the board was that I would not stand idly by while someone attacked either my city or her people.

I saw somebody a while back with a t-shirt that said, I think "NEW ORLEANS REFUGEE", and the letters were emblazoned over a silhouette of an automatic weapon. That should let people know how serious we are.

I'll keep it short.
Give 'em hell.
Fuck 'em if they have a problem with it.

I haven't been back to Rice since I graduated in '05. I'm from Alexandria but moved to midcity NOLA in January, about when the stink started to go away. I'm not around now, but thought it was interesting to see what my degree qualifies me for in this future...
