When the Levees Broke: A Spike Lee Film
Spike Lee will be present at the world premier of his HBO documentary When the Levees Broke, at the New Orleans Arena, Wednesday, August 16, at 07:30 PM.
Free tickets are available from Ticketmaster.
The show premiers on HBO on August 30.

I hope Spike doesn't swallow the "They blew up the levees" rumor whole.

Yeah, there's enough of a story to tell without making up more stories.
I read an interview where he said the rumor was "plausible". Sure, it's plausible. The levees have been blown before. But "plausible" doesn't mean "proven" or even "somewhat likely".

It is a little scary to think about what Spike might do with this story. Maybe it will be a measured and fair view, given that it's been produced by HBO. I can't imagine them allowing sensationalist rumor mongering.

I heard on the radio that he was asked about the levee blowing conspiracy and said the movie portrayed all viewpoints in a balanced way. We'll see. I also heard it's on the nights of the 22 & 23 in two parts. I don't get HBO so I can't check it out. I'm hoping to find someone to tape it for me.
