The Democratic Katrina recovery plans

Now that I've been up to PJ's and gotten wired, it occurs to me that the last few posts would have made more sense as one big one. Oh well, I can at least do a meta post.

Links to my brief Sunday morning adventures searching for Democratic candidate Katrina recovery plans, in rough order of worthiness:

1. Obama
2. Edwards
3. Clinton
4. Richardson
5. Dodd
6. Biden
7. Kucinich
8. Gravel

If you're only interested in substance, don't bother looking past #3 or so.

Something to remember about Richardson's plan, actually. The boy was born and bred in NM. He's crossed water on planes, but hasn't had to DEAL with water like Katrina. I'd discount him on that alone. But then.... He was in gov. when I moved to NM. Feh.

Should I ask what your investigation of Republican candidates turned up?

I looked at Romney and Rudy's sites, and so far both put out statements basically saying "Our hearts and prayers go out to the Katrina victims. Sucks to be you."

I think the GOP platform is "Not Our Problem, Dude", so it makes sense that they wouldn't have to outline their plan to do nothing.

Heh.. I almost did that for you.

Soulless golems, the lot of them.

As of now, I think Edwards is the only one to mention New Orleans in a place other than New Orleans.
