Dig it. I can walk to this. I'm looking for a volunteer to roll me home afterwards though.

Fill yer belly then head out to the BERG derby that night.

I was just joking on my blog yesterday that the title of this fest is comical. "Preservation" fest is a bit over-the-top. It's not like they're endangered :-P

Maybe they want us to stop eating them so that there will be more of them in the wild.
You bring a duck po-boy to my house around lunch today and it'll be endangered like a whale.
Don't miss the History of the Po-Boy lecture on the schedule, where Tom Fitzmorris will undoubtedly lecture us on the improperness of calling it anything but a "poor boy".

Saints + Po-Boy Fest+BERG=EXCELLENT Sunday! I'll have to be double-productive on Saturday though!

Mike Serio's quip (in today's 60-Second Interview) was funny:
"[Rose] The event Sunday is called a Preservation Festival. It almost sounds like jazz or some other endangered species.
[Serio] Yeah, that's kind of Uptown, calling it a "Preservation Society." "
He does go on to lament the spread of Subway and Quizno's in New Orleans.

I hate that guy
Also.. I'm guessing the "preservation" has to do with the perceived danger of encroachment from the fast-food industry. I think that's a little off base. As long as there are corner stores, there will be Po-Boys. Of course, some people tend to be down on corner stores these days... which might indeed pose a threat.

Maybe they mean it like wetland preservation. Do you have any idea how much storm surge would be soaked up by 1 billion french-fry po boys?
