Nash
Virgets '04:
Yogi answered nothing at first, just pushing and shoving with his wrench, his face going from bright red to white and back again, like a human brake light. Yogi practiced the domestic arts with a sad proficiency. Finally, he stepped back, lit one of those generic cigarettes and tried to smoke past his anxiety attack."It was on account of leaving town for Hurricane Ivan. Or trying to."
"You was one of those?" hooted Jimmy Chimichanga. "Man, you're an old-time New Orleanian. You oughta know better."
"Yeah, well, I'm kinda lost without Nash Roberts," Yogi admitted.
"A guy on the radio said he saw Nash at a Chinese restaurant two nights before landfall, and Nash said, 'Pensacola.' He coulda saved everyone four days of TV-watching in four syllables," I said.
I'm just sayin'.

Sorry, stupid comment. I had ten windows open with 5 different paths for Mr. Dean and I got compused.

I know the feeling, I had all that plus hotel web sites plus hurricane supplies lists. It was a wonder I could find my work under all that crap.
Looks like we dodged one this time.

I'm good. I lack the scars of the people who were here in '05, so tracking these fuckers is still a wee bit sporting, even if I do have to plan evacuations for three families with five pets now.
And Dean is SOOOOO last week. There's a new system to the east of the Leeward Islands, for those obsessed with the tropical unborn.

I envy you. All I get it the sum of all the chilling fear I never had for any storms prior to K. Still cannot get used to that surge of adrenalin when a subject I was so blase about comes up.
Hope the new house is doing well, let's get together after RT and hang out some.

Thank God I'm not the only one. I've been watching Invest 92L obsessively for two days. I know everyone keeps saying it's not going anywhere but it hasn't gone away either and I remember so clearly hearing the exact same stuff on Tuesday and Wednesday before Her. I don't like that little sputtering low 'cause that's exactly where and how She started.
