Compassionate conservatism has given this country a host of monumental achievements, none of them any good. Increased poverty, destruction of our economic stength and vitality, wider divisions in society's perceptions of ethics, morality, legality, and faith, an alienation of our allies, a virtual gutting of constitutional halmarks, deadly rage among our enemies, Mother Nature's revenge, these are just a few of the deadly ironies resulting from that misnomered sound bite. be careful what you ask for, you just might get it. Now if we could just fire the bums, maybe we could start over with something like, pragmatic liberalism, yeah!

That's exactly what I thought of (and my only katrina-related item included his quote). Somebody needs to punch him in his fat face.
