CERT simulation

I was grubbing around looking up volunteer search and rescue stuff and ran across a whole pile of pictures taken at the training simulation we did in Austin right before I moved here. If you've been reading my blog since then you probably remember reading about it here.

The photos from the US-HERO training site are here (4 pages worth). I'm in about six or seven of them (green shirt, green vest, green helmet), but the three below are the only ones approximating macho action shots. As usual, the photos don't convey the whole story since the camera guy was using a flash but it was frickin' dark in there if you didn't have a helmet light.

More preeze! You need to have an entourage following you around to capture you in your manly moments.

I really do. I need a PR staff. It's hard to ask the instructor, "Can you take some good action shots of me so that I can get girlish squeals in my blog comments"? Kind of gives the impression that my mind isn't on my job.

I also need a band to follow me around for my soundtrack, like in "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka".

There's no way for you to stay on that peeps thing, what with all the almost nudie girlie shots. What are you doing putting your blog up there?

Competing with Hiromi, of course.

She's winning, as usual.

Ray, that's 'cause you don't update often. You *do* keep us waiting.

I'm one of the nearly nude, but I think that my photo has a sense of aesthetics the others lack. I also believe (maybe wrongly) that my blog is fairly intelligent. But yeah, my choice of self-representation might not be compatible with an image of intelligence. In any case, it's a fun sort of thing to do, and I've gotten more traffic, and thankfully not of the drooling moron variety.

Maybe a little drooling.

Oh yeah. I love a manly man doing manly (and good) things. Especially with a funkadelic beat.
