Just to clear up the date confusion

When I revived the blog, I went back and reconstructed some of my old sobriety posts from the archives and reposted them. Some of you might have seen these come through as reruns if you're using a feed reader, and if you weren't reading my blog in 2008 or 2007 or 2006 or 2004 they might look new to you but they're old posts. For the near to medium -term, check the dates on anything you see coming through, since it might be old stuff. And it'll definitely be surreal if I dig up the early Katrina posts.

As a matter of fact, I won't be hitting another sobriety birthday until tomorrow. That is, if I don't go out at lunch today and buy a bottle of Maker's and spend the afternoon sitting in the park talking to my imaginary friends.

Followed your link from facebook and found this - have looked through the limited archives. Didn't realize you were a great writer as well - always knew you were the dark, brooding, self-examining (with a microscope) type. Always knew you were and are a "good person", the type that does the right thing because it's the right thing and it matters. Your kids are lucky to have you - i see so many who have "everything" but what really matters, parents who love them enough to pay some attention to who they are. Don't have the first clue what fighting your particular demons is like so won't be stupid enough to comment on that issue.

Mike and I would really like to see you and catch up....

Bloglines says that none of your RSS feeds are working -- I can't figure out why. So I didn't even realize you were updating again until I saw a Facebook post.

Jette, we updated Ray to a new version of Movable Type, so it might be that format differences are confusing it. I'll investigate.

Yeah I think bloglines has an old RSS feed. The new one is atom based. I'm not hip to bloglines enough to figure out how to update it though (and the last thing I need is another damned account someplace!)

I had to update the feed on my.yahoo.com to get it to pick up the new blog, so I'm betting bloglines is the same.

If ray wants to make that easy, we'll add an rss widget to the blog.
