How I want it to end
At the bookstore this past weekend, I noticed signs for vouchers and whatnot for Harry Potter VII. Honestly, I've lost a lot of interest in Harry, just like I lost interest in Tony Soprano. It's possible to wait too frickin long between episodes. And I resented the fact that the Asian chick ended up being so lame. Dumbledore (I've always hated that name) better not do an Obi-wan or an Aslan or a Bobby Ewing. I hope Harry kills Voldemort, and then steps into his shoes. Not in the sense of a straightforwad coup, but kill him to rid the world of his evil, but then slowly and surely become like him in the end. Wait a minute...I'm just recyling how I wanted Star Wars Episodes I-III to turn out...

Yeah, Cho Chang should have been 10x better.

Then J.K. just sort of unceremoniously dumps her. Didn't even make her a cute background character like Luna.

I don't know why I do this, but for some reason, a character in a book (like Cho Chang) is representin' Asians even though it's a fictional book.
But I do agree that her character is shallow and quickly became insignificant in the storyline. She may come back in the final book but who knows. I think the ending may be dramatic - Harry takes over the deatheaters, fights the good vs evil battle, then goes with "good".
I also agree on the time period between books being too long...

Great idea! Your brain rocks. I actually never invested any thought into how I would evolve the Harry character. If your idea became reality it would be a perfect ending.

I don't have strong opinions about how it ends only dear God I hope somebody gets a romp in the sack with Hermione.

Ain't that the truth, Gregarious?
Ben, it ain't gonna happen, though, since it *is* a kid's book.

Michael Quinion has yet to respond to my query, the bastard.

I'm with Ray. If Ron ain't nailin' her, someone's gotta. Maybe Moaning Myrtle.
Honestly, i have no real opinons on how it *should* end. I love that rowling does it her way, nevermind what we might want. I just don't want it to end. I suddenly realized that when this one's done, it's done for ever, and THAT bothers me.

I hope Quinion answers you, that would rock. You'd get major geek points for Hufflepuff.

There hasn't been a Karl-Ray pervy exchange on my blog in a while. Natsukashii.
Karl, I can't imagine not having a strong opinion on anything. The world would be a better place if only people would listen to me.

If for no other reason, Ray, I need to match your Cecil Adams geek points.
