Lemmee know if you want to see some of those templates on Syl's blog (well, with her permission). We hacked around a lot and she found some very cool tricks (some of which I stole). I think her blog came out looking fabulous.

I can't ficgure out why stylecatcher isn't working. The errors don't match the actual problem.

The thing I most liked about Syl's blog was the drop down menus (I just went looking for them, but they seem to have gone. Or, maybe I was on crack). I already just found Hiromi's stylesheet, which surprised me because I always assumed for some reason that she did that herself.

They're there but they were having a problem loading (slow blogrolling response or something).

They're way cool; there's a tutorial out there someplace for how to install them, it's a buncha java script.

Extraordinarily simple to do. Generates the code for you and everything, after you make certain choices. They also have a bunch of other tools that may or may not interest you if you go here.
